Hi, i got a 1990 VN (does that make it a series 1, or 2?

It has recently had coils, leads, plugs, and complete exhaust system redone. but i've done 100's of k's already since changing anything.

Was running fine, suddenly waiting at lights car dies out and stalls. wouldnt restart straight away, got it running, but if you touch the throttle it just dies.

What could this be?

im guessing fuelpump is only putting thru enough for car to idle, or a dodgy throttle position sensor.

got a code 12, gues that means everything okay. yeah right. think ill check fuel pump, dont think ecu has sensors to report health of pump/fuel pressure

hi welcome
well hahaha there is a lot of confusion about the different ser motors the ser 1 had a wight crank angle sensor and the ser 2 has a black one, most people think they can tell by the intake manifold were the thermostat sits but this is not the case as you can have a ser 1 , ser 2 , or a ser 1.5 a ser 1.5 has a wight crank angle sensor but the intake manifold has the thermostat housing sitting at the front of the engine same as the ser 2 motor hope that helps you out

as for the stalling at the lights does your engine light come on, i will say it does first step would be to do a code check and see what code is showing up there is a code check forum in the how to section give that a read mate it will help you find the problem
