Hi,
The diff is about to go in the 3.8 V6, I am looking for a whole rear axle 2nd hand because its just not worth the cost of a diff overhaul and I want to know if the VR - VS rear axle will fit into the VN. Also its a stationwagon but I already found out that the mounts are different on wagons...
If I could look for a VR - VS one it would make life easier..

oh yeah and the dunga is a series 1 vn wagon
thedunga Posted - 24 Mar 2012 : 9:14:17 PM
actually the dunga has a vr diff in it and the soft line block on vr/vs is different it wont take the vn soft line end and the vr/vs soft line block wont fit the vn hard lines on the diff so swapping all the lines on the diff will be needed other than that it is straight forward

Just be sure to take the cover plate off the back of the diff (be ready with a new gasket) and have a look inside before fitting it. Check your driveshaft all the way along. I'm not saying you haven't checked it, but you might be replacing the wrong part if you haven't.
