Posted - 25 Jul 2012 : 1:47:29 PM Yeah,a few threads buzzing around the internet on it over the last 10 years, unbelievable as it sounds GM started the changeover to Metric in the early 1970's but kept it quiet for many years, some GM bolt patterns are metric, some models imperial, only slight differences but there are differences that can effect the way a wheel bolts on. |

Posted - 23 Jul 2012 : 10:46:15 PM The one thing I forgot to mention, the VE rims aren't quite interchangeable with its predecessors. The stud pattern matches, but they are approximately 1mm too small for a VB-Z to fit. I have only heard this, but have yet to prove it to myself by checking it with my VN |

Posted - 19 Jun 2012 : 7:22:39 PM The stud pattern on a Commodore rim is interchangeabke with Jaguar, BMW, some Opels and many of its US GM cousins. The crucial thing to get right is the size of the centre hole and the offset (rim centre relative to the centre, as in horizontal centre of the rim. BMW wheels are very close to this. Although a Kingswood (HQ-WB) wheel will fit, the offset equates to adding about 50mm to the wheel track |
