Posted - 29 Aug 2012 : 8:19:31 PM i am at the stage of putting on the engine pipe up to the right hand exhaust manifold after a full day of trying to get the old one off and it was the top nut/stud that was a bugger i tried to use different combination sockets starting with deep 1/2 drive 13mm and then short socket woulnt fit coz of the stud rhe longer socket woulndt fit with the ratchet after few trips back and fourth autopro i used a medium length socket and also the flexible adaptor reson for this is because the stud/nut faces in a direction towards the gearbox torque converter cover and i aslo took out 1 bolt that was mating the trans to the engine which was in the way of the socket ext bars Of all the jobs i hve done on this car this was a tuffy it shouldve taken less time to do this job The left hand pipe took five minutes all i can say is good luck if you have to do the same engine pipe i did a job on the vt v6 cat converter with two pipes <one piece> it was easier to do tommorow i will finish putting the pipes back in
