I recently had my VN's transmission serviced at Midland Trnasmissions & Diffs. I'd recommend them for three reasons:
1. He's cheap
2. He's not afraid to answer technical questions
3. He's very honest. I had asked him about the overall condition of my transmission. The last bloke to work on it said it's showing signs of being on the way out. He told me straight up that it still has a long way to go before it needs reconditioning. Recon TH700s vary a lot in price, but one of his was $1500 fitted. Not bad when the nearest cheapest quote was $2500! This is Midland, Western Australia, so apologies to those in SA and the east coast.

Probably the usual "freight" BS; although this guy recons them inhouse, where as somewhere like Repco would farm the recon out and then whack fitting on top of that
