So i'm on my learners license right now, i could of gone for my p's ages ago but i haven't clocked up the ridiculous amount of hours, anyway back on subject. I was caught speeding today doing 17km's over the speed limit, the person i was driving with knew the officer so he put down on the ticket that it was just under 10km's over the limit. I asked him if my license gets suspended but he didn't know anything? Will it? It didn't sound like he knew what he was doing so is there a chance he might not of done something to put it on record? Or is my license gone for 3 months.

Not 100% familiar with NSW traffic law, but how many demerit points do you have right now? If the answer is 11, there's a fair chance you'll be ok. In theory, there should be something on the NSW RTA website. All other states have this info on their vehicle licencing sites, to make it freely available to the public. The fact that he wrote it as less than 10k over the limit means that even as a P-plater you shouldn't lose your licence for just one offence
