Hi all I've just put a VN SS Commodore 5ltr into my 39 Chev I'm hoping to be able to use as every day driver. I'm also hoping to pick up as much info on how to splice the engine harness into the harness I built for the car.

Don't know whether this will be useful to you, but there's a company called Gardner Engineering that sell ready made harnesses to fit earlier model Holdens. For example, if you bought their kit, you could wire up an HQ Kingswood to take a VS Commodore V8 without having to splice a single wire. They may give you some tech advice if you ask, as they're used to fitting "digital" engines to "analog" cars
