I have a well maintained, very tidy, one owner example now done 290,000kms and which has not missed a beat until recently. It now occasionally cuts out while being driven and won't restart or after being driven for what-ever distance and left for an hour or two will not restart as a result.

Go to it the next morning and it starts up instantly and runs fine.

This model has the glove box mounted central locking/burglar alarm on/off switch but the problem has happened both with it switch on and off.

I would appreciate responses from anyone who has experienced the same problem with their VN V6 or knows of the actual repair requirement.

I used to have the same issue with my VP, it was one of the coils. I ended up testing all three coil packs and it was only one of them, but I replaced all 3 so as to not have the same issue a little while later.

Have you checked out this topic here to give you the error you might be receiving: Error Codes, how to get them and what they mean

I hope that helps..
