I've never been before, but with the Wife's family in Canberra now, its too good an opportunity to pass up (brownie points for spending Christmas with the inlaws aswell as being in the ACT for the big event!). It was a little touch and go as all the funds were going into the respray but some things fell into place and I'm now the proud owner of tickets for everyday of the event.
Can't wait! If any of the old hands could let me know what things can't be missed or the best way to tackle it I'd love to hear your stories.
hey if anyone is lookin at workin at the nats let me know and ill put in a good word for ya especialy if u got a security licence. im going this year. lookin foward to meetin any of u guys and girls who are headin there too! im tryin to get the old girl up and runnin in time for it.
ha! if i can get it entered id do a backflip. (and i know i cant do that but ill give it a try) i wanna try though. get into the sound offs, grass events maybe smoke some rubber too. i got a new motor lined up for the old girl i just hope i can get it in time.
Starting to get excited about Summernats now! Not long to go!
If anyone is interested, Street Machine will have a Summernats DVD included... it might be **** but time will tell. As soon as I get my grubby mitts on it I'll let you all know if its worth getting.
Oops. Forgot all about that- the DVD is good for free but I wouldn't pay the $50 for it. Free with a mag is a good deal though.
I fly out for Canberra tonight so I probably won't get too much posting in between now and when I get back. I'll try and post the pics from Summernats each night but I'll have to see what happens on that front.
