O.K i haven't driven my triton in a while and i jumped in it and drove it up the road, stopped at the servo put some fuel in it and then took off got about 100 meters from the servo and it started spluttering, it idles fine but when i give it a little throttle it splutters like it's running out of fuel then gets past it then if i push the accelerater down a little more it spluters then clear up. any ideas why my gen 1 v6 would do this?

| spray some carby cleaner in the intake of the motor, clean all the gunk out and spray the idle air control motor while your at it (little hole at the start of the throttle body) |

| could be the pump among other thigns but commodores are prone to doing this after being left for a while, also could be fuel thats gone off in the tank....... |

It sounds to me as though you may have purchased a bad batch of fuel. I would change your fuel filter or at least check it for water. I have seen this happen alot people just fuel up and then it plays up. If you find water in your filter i would be dropping all fuel and getting it from else where next time. Also if the car has been idle for an amount of time with a low tank of fuel condensation will form inside your fuel tank which could also cause this. Good luck and let us know what you find |
What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared. |

| Replace the fuel filter and see if that sorts it out. |
