Hi
I just got my VN serviced and I need to change the rear sway bar bushes and the z bar bushes. Just wondering if anyone can help me with what each of these are and where they are located and also where I can pick up some new ones from.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

the front z bars are in front of the strut, its a rod with 4 bush's connecting the swaybar to the strut itself, on the rear is pretty much the same, if you stick your head up under the rear bumper bar you will see them, now to change them over you will need a set of multigrips, and by memory its a 14-15 mm spanner? use the multigrips to stop the rod from spinning when you undo the nut..... you may also need a lever bar to reinstall them as they can be stubborn sometimes!

Cheers,
Nodg.

Thank you very much for that nodg, some of the names they give the parts are weird and they dont explain them in the book I have so that is much appreciated.

I'm go and get some bushes and give it a go now.

just make sure you dont tighten the nuts up too tight, just until the bush's start to squash....

z-bars are the aftermarket rods only but the technical terms mechanics use is link rod or caster bar, they were originally called caster bars but then moved to link rods
