on the throttle body of my series 1 v6, there are 2 vacuum hose connections. they just have plugs on them so they cant suck nothin. i see in photos some people have thiers blocked but i have seen one with a hose going from one pipe to the other and others have 2 hoses coming to the front of the engine somewhere, where do they go? how will this effect the engine running?

i think your reffering to the charcoal canister lines, any escaping fuel vapour will get filtered throught whats called a charcoal canister and then be fed to the throttle body while the engines running. does yours have a black cylendrical box right beside the battery above the rail?

Cheers,
Nodg.

hey nodg, hope ya eyes are on the mend.
no i dont see anything like you described
here is a picture of what i mean.

i put those hoses on the other day, it had rubber plugs but they were cracked and i thought one could suck air. i though i would try and find out more about what they are before i buy something a bit tidier
hmm, my photo didnt come up, trying again.

Are you uploading the photo into photobucket first and then copy and pasting the IMG code?? Or are you using a different method??

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.

the hose you have blocked off is for the charcoal canister. go to your local wreckers and get one and attach the lines. with the second pic, thats the area in which a o2 sensor should be put but im sure you dont need it

Nodg.

If you add:

and then

at the end it will display the picture here. Just replace the <> with [].
