Hey everyone, i am new to this forum and am also a girl lol so please be nice.
I have a 1989 VN Commodore and it has a bit of rust in the boot near where the towbar attaches, my dad fixed it temporarily as i was going to sell it but now i want to do it up and was just wondering what you all recommend to fix it.
My dad is a mechanic and has done some panel beating so he can do alot of the work we just need some ideas.
If you have any ideas on how i can fix it to tow again it would be appreciated if not doesnt matter as i am planning on putting a VY clubsport body kit on it eventually and lowering it so i DEFINATELY wont be towing with it lol
a simple cut and make a new section to go over the rust, a bit of welding is required! Also male or female doesnt matter , we have a few chiks on here that could show up a few of our male members lol... in saying that ask what ever you whant to know there isnt a member on here that wont help, were a friendly bunch here! welcome aboard
Basically... you'll have to cut around the rust and weld in a new peice of steel... like trizo said... but id advise making sure you prime the cut edges... otherwise the problem WILL return!
