yes battery is fully charged has none of the typical caractoristics of the flat battery plus I have recently changed the brushes in the alternator.
this is something I havent had a lot to do with guy I know can get one for $55 from a wrecker. Is there any parts in the starter motor that can be replaced with out much trouble.

yep it sounds like it is engageing. it could almost be mistaken for a flat battery un less I have one of those bonds batterys that tells me how much that my battery has charge in it. this is ponderous its almost like I have a flat battery. but I have full dash lights. Im starting to get the feeling that Im going to get told that those indicators on the baterys arent accurate. I have full dash lights that dont fade when the key is hit. and the starter struggles to turn over.

check on the l3 dash, with the key off, press and hold the 'mode' + 'plus' button, then turn the key to on. it will display a differant menu, press mode until you find 'v' for voltage. it should be on 12.0-12.5

couls be seized pinion in the starter or buster soloniod, give it a bash with a metal pipe and see if that free's it up.

Cheers,
Nodg.

tried the bashing thing not sure how effective it was bit hard to get a desent swing at it.
has any one done a full write up of the function of that thingy yet. apparently if you hold in the plus minus button then start the car the display will gve you a digital read of you speed. only minecomes up and then goes as soon as you take your fingers of the buttons

I think its a seized pinion went out to get it with my farther inlaw and he tells me the starter is jammed. which explains why it ran like a um dog when it did fire.

vnv8driver, if the menu comes up it should stay up, if it doesnt something must be wrong. if you can keep it on somehow and scroll to see the volts then thats enough.

Trizo, you have to be on the avg speed/avg fuel used, and press mode plus down, all at the same time. in other wods just mash all the keys at once!

Cheers,
Nodg.
