well i'm new to these vn's and new to aus, anyway got one and the speedo works when it wants to, tried going over bumps to see if this gets it going but nothing, sometimes works from cold for 3km then stops, is it the dash or cable? and how hard a job to change what ever it needs, i know one of you has the answer.
Thanks

sounds like the speed sensor on the gearbox has seen better days...fairly simple to change. my old vn did this, its very common

yep jas is right have a loo under the car at the g/b and you will c a cable running into the side of the g/b (thats the speed sensor) It is common for the plastic surround to break and make them useless , other wise it would be the dash cluster it self, but from what your sayin I d go down ja's road and check the speed sensor! welcome to the site also m8
