i was cleaning out my car today and had to pull my sub out of the boot to vacuum under it etc.
I decided to put the 2x12" 100w subs in the opposite way to which i usually have them i faced them towards the back seat, sat inside to hear it and it was really cool the thumping but i just about felt sick before i could even finish listening to lil wayne lollipop or touch it remix with busta rymes.
I wanted to put this to the test as i was thinking of getting 2xclarion 12" subs the comp ones with the metal back that u mount upside down. i was gona have these facing the seats with amps in the floor etc.
my head unit doesn't have a sub woofer phase so i can't turn them off if i get sick of them or wana listen to the radio unless i make up a switch to the amp.
to whoever has them facing inwards do your passengers complain as u sit in the front and don't know.
I'll show you the Rick James cell. It's superfreaky!.
Or you could put a switch on the dash that taps into the amplifier switch wire from the head unit. This will allow you to turn the amp off and on as you please. This way you dont have to play with settings at all.
What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.
I only have one sub facing backwards (into the boot) and it still gives you that weird feeling (and hurts your ears a tad..lol) I think if anything it would only make that feeling worse. I haven't had them up loud with people in the back as we are usually talking.
I have a bass control for mine which is great as I have 2 kids and can't have it blarring with them, although the wiggles do sound a bit better...lol
yeah i was looking around the back of the head unit yesterday with the wiring diagram in my and and found a signal cable that had sub written on.
i have just a mono amp so i pulled out the red cable leaving the black on in a put it into the sub then played some music.
so now i can keep the bass coming trough the speakers to get that nice quality of sound and have the subs up or down. i found the setting on the touchscreen and i can now just run my finger up or down the screen to adjust the sub setting without messing up my speakers.
i had to call up the jenson hot line to ask be4 i did it.
