Was curious to get some info on what springs to use on my vn,will be getting it lowerd this weekend coming,i have 15x7inch interceptors, and want to get the wheel up in the arch a little.......Running 205x60 tyres...I have seen some ultra low springs on ebay to suit my car, says it lowers the car 60-70mm,im not sure what springs i need to get this look,as the mechanic i spoke to said,if there the origanal springs already in car,it would of dropped maybe 2 inches already,so is there a way of determining which springs i need........Also,here is the link to the ebay ones, but like i said,im not sure if they will be to low,or not enough, how do i know....... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/VL-VN-VP-V6-Commodore-Sedan-Ultralow-Springs-60-70mm_W0QQitemZ200326062308QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item200326062308&_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116

They don't look like ultra low's.
Remember you will need short shocks too. |

Does this sound real, pedders quoted me just over $1000 for springs, shocks, labour, wheel alignment to lower my car 2 to 2.5 inches......Thats if it does not need anything else, they say bring it in for few hours, and they will let me know what else i require, will cost me $14 for the inspection.........Am i getting ripped off...I think i am..... Cheers........ |

Nope. That's pretty much what I got quoted.
Then I got quoted about $1250 for 2" lowered. Suitable shocks. Adjustable sway-bars. Wheel alignment...I told them I wanted it done PROPERLY.
So it's pretty much fine. |

| Adjustable sway bars go on the front right? Are they very beneficial same with the strut tower brace? |

I'm sure you could get rear ones too.
I didn't actually get them installed, but yes, they should be quite beneficial.
Especially with the rear of the VNs. I'll get one eventually, I wanna try and iron out the issue of low rear-end grip in the wet.
Might go both, to try and improve front end grip too (But that's already superb).

| Yeah but to notice the difference you would probably wana be running very expensive maybe $600 tyres before you fine tune like that if that makes sense |

| Not really. I know the tyres are capable of much better. The front stick REALLY well, even in wet conditions. The rear on the other hand, it's a slippery as ice in the wet. Dry? Sticks like **** to a blanket. |

Cheers man but those are chopped pedders springs i got from the wreckers to put in for a photo shoot to post up more pics of my ride for you guys to see. Sorry
I'm going this weekend to have sports rider shocks and adjustable panhard rod fitted. And i will tell the guys i want it to sit the same height
So if i end up doing this before you i will let you know what they are. Those choppys ride like crap but still doesn't scrape. |

| You should probably still try and keep it legal though. |

I had in those photo's King springs low (Which i still have in the front). One problem people can have with lower on Mags is that it just scrapes though as legal then the tires cost them to much so they put the interceptor wheels back on with the same spring arrangement and wonder why the get defected.
I would strongly advise a legal ride height being Superlow front and back I'm told is the specifications you've mentioned above. |
