The VN clubsport, was that a HSV. I can't stand most cars that come from HSV as they are lary and downright just overdone. A good exmample of this is the VE Commodore, the SS looks ten times better than the HSV R8 which is overdone. I like the Group A cars that Holden released, the VK, and the VN Group A is as fat as! The VN SS looked pretty sharp too! |

Street Commodores issue #153 has a fat looking VN SS on page 134. And page 26 has a VN SS Group A, but it has a massive blower on it. Still nice though |

We used to have a couple of Group A's running around town (A couple of the VL and a couple of the VN varients) and I think my SV LE is reasonably rare. Other that that we have a few SS's getting around town and a few nice looking done us VN's. Quite a few rare cars in such a small town really. I think we only have about 7000 people. There is a Phase 3 GTHO as well as a few older HDT's kicking around. |
What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared. |

You must be from Queensland VNSVLE. VN's are still very common up there, but here in Sydney, spotting a VN is kind of like spotting Hayley's Commet. VN's are rare where i come from, period lol |

Went to Coffs Harbour January this year, and once i got up that way near the border, it was a VN fest. To me it appeared that they are the most common car up that way lol |

The VE was used as an example of how HSV get things wrong with their styling. The VE SS looks better than anything that has had HSV's oversyling hands on it when looking at the VE range as an example. This wasn't a comparison between VE's and VN's, just merely an agreeance with bj42turbo's comment about how the VN clubsport was one of the last clubsports that looked good before they started to look like a pizza thrown into a blender lol. And i agree with you trizo, the aero looked good. I like the deep purple one that is on this website. Very sharp! |

What's wrong with the VE? I have had mine since Sept 2007 and it goes great. Put on some 19" HSV wheels a few weeks back:

For one they look like bulldozers front on, and this design has been proven to be flawed with poor aerodynamic performance on the racing track. Not to mention that the VE is up to it's 5th recall when compared to the BA, BF, and FG's zero (So thats six years for the blue oval without a recall). I wasn't saying anything negative about the VE in past postings, all except for the fact that the HSV line up is over done. But thats just my opinion! |

The sv89 white with plum trim and that awesome standard kit , thats what i would hope to own eventually.
any vn is hot in my opinion , each person makes it what they desire .
in my opinion , the driver always makes a car.... no matter how good the car is... |

Very true Trizo, and a great shame. Dryvn, i think you need to change your nickname to "diehardvn"! No doubting your passion for VN's. Me, i have seen some whopper VN's out there though, but in saying that, i cant help but look when i see one, no matter the condition of it lol |
