hi all, was wondering where the thermostat is located on my car? i was told by my mechanic that it needs replacing, but i am unsure where it is located? i have been told that its towards the front of my engine.

my car is a '89 vn calais 6cyl auto, adn any help would be appreciated.

being an early Series one VN it should be at the back of the engine follow the top radiator hose to the rear of the engine and its under the fitting that is back there

must of had an engine swap then its under the fitting that the top radiator hose connects to take out the bolt and lift it off its under there

was it at the back or was the housing in top the radiator? was it hard?

it was at the top of the engine where the top radiator hose goes to. it was a simple 5 minute job.
