Hi could someone tell me how to wire up a siwtch fo i can turn my thermo fans on and off ,my thermo never works even when you turn the aircon on , if it has alldready been psoted up could someone link it to me thanks .
not to sure ? maybe try this... I would cut the wires to the thermo as close to the connection as possible , the ones from the thermo unit, leaving plenty of wire to work with and run them directly to a power/neg source , with a switch set up in between to make and break the circuit. you will have to turn it on and off manually as the temp changes . you will need a reliable temp reading so you don't cook the motor and running cold is not to good either.
have you checked the relays and wiring . i hope this helped ? anyone else more switched on got ideas...
As dryVN said check the fuse and relay first of all (if you have not already done so) also check all of your earths. Make sure the fan is plugged in. Disconnect the plug and make sure that the connections are clean in the plug. To check the relay you can change it with one that you know works. For instance the horn relay (if of course the horn works) only do this once you have made sure that the fuse is intact. With a multimeter make sure there is power at the fuse and also at the relay. At the relay check the power wire and the signal/switch wire for power. The signal/switch wire will only have power when the engine has reached a certain temp(not sure when the thermo kicks in) and the ecu is sending the switch signal to the relay. The signal wire will be the blue and white one and the power should be orange and pink. Also check that the temp sensors are all plugged in.
See how you go with that and let us know what you find.
What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.
hahaha BE VERY CAREFUL REWIRING THE THERMO TO A DIRECT POWER SOURCE,, it uses stupid amounts of power and is well know for frying the entire electrical system though a simple miswiring!! I got a write up made for ages ago by the mad genius himself MOUSE... I will dig it up and it will tell you the right way to hotwire your thermo's!
