My drivers window has fallen off the front rail. The leading edge drops but the trailing edge stays up when I try to wind the window down. I called a company to get them to fix it, they told me that the front window can't be reglued in a VN. Does anyone know of a way to repair my window? I hate driving with the window up.

goto the wreckers and get the part out ,, make sure all the plastic wheels on the winder unit are round and not squared off! This was another of the vn's desighn flaws, great motors with heaps of power but crappy component parts!

Thank you trizo. Dunno what this regluing crap I was told about is. Pulled it apart and found it was just the plastic swivel had busted in the scissor slides, $2 part & 20 mins work.
By the way the easiest way to remove the circlip holding on the window winder is simply to bend 5mm or so at the end of a coat hanger into a hook. Find which way the circlip is facing, hook into the back of it & pull gently. Should take all of about 30 seconds & you wont have clips flying all over the joint.

another way to get it off without it flying away (thus the reason they call it an angel clip) is to use a rag or t-shirt or some sort of material wrap it around the shaft (where the clip is) and slide it backward and forwards while keeping a bit of pressure on it and it should come off and get caught (for loss of a better word) in the rag and not going flying past your ears.

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.

If you watch the rubber guide for the glass on the way up ,make sure it is in place correctly you will have a lot less window mechanism problems.
