Hey guys when i was driving through the city today i accidentally droped the shifter in to first while driving and revved the crap out of my VP as i trying to take off quickly. a strange 'pwoosh' noise came from the engine, sounding similar to what a blow off value sounds like. i stopped and when i started up the car the engine made a strange noise however driving the rest of the way home it was normal and the engine seemed fine. just wondering what kind of damage i might have done.
cheers

You would of blow some cob webs out the tail pipe and given the girl a bit of a hiding but nothing it cant handle if its still driving normally, but dont get me wrong do it too many times and you will **** your ar up! The noise was your hydraylic lifters but they usually come good after a bit of an easy drive home :)

Cheers,
Nodg.
