Next step will be to figure out what you want to modify first. Exhaust is the first "non invasive" performance mod you can do |

Lazy way of doing CAI is to find a junked VR Clubby, take its measurements and possibly make one from fibreglass. Let me know if you run into any trouble on the HX, I've owned 5 Kingswoods in my time, and still have my HZ; an HQ, an HX panelvan, an HT, An HZ and a WB one tonner. |

yeah i was just thinking of doing something ive seen on here, get the air intake pipe and cut a hole in the side of the airbox and angle the intake pipe down towards the road. But yeah i should be right with the HX, they're pretty simple.
THe utehas a warm 308 in it now but ive got a nice little 186 to chuck in it (Y) |

You'd be surprised what you can do with the 186. As they're a square bore, they lend themselves well to all kinds of things; turbocharging, superchargers, ridiculously high revs. Strangely, the Holden grey was been known to hit 9000rpm. At about 5500, it has this balance thing that makes you think it's at redline, but it can be pushed past that. This was why they were a much loved speedway engine in their day. |
