Im pretty close to grabbing a set for the VN, couple of questions though.
Im at FE2 height atm so would the standard 245's fit on my car or will I have to replace the tires straight off? I also wont to go a bit lower but not by much so should be fine running 235's on the 18's at say superlow height?
Cheers

You might just get away with it, but remember to check for speedo accuracy. put a 205/65 R15 beside the wheel/tyre combo you want to fit. 205/65 being the standard factory profile for VNs with pursuit rims. If the overall diameter is smaller, it will read faster than actual. If bigger, will read slower than actual |

Measure the width of the tyres you want to fit and the profile height when the car is standing on the ground. Measure the offset of the rim (how far the seats of the wheel nuts are from the edge of the rim) With your current wheels, set the tape measure on the edges of where the tyre sticks out from the rim. Then, turn the wheel hard lock in both directions. Using the tape measure with the width of the new tyres, see if the end of the tape hits anything in any direction. Also, get a mate to push down on your shockies a little, and put the tape measure up at the diameter of the new rubber. If any part of the car doesn't "clear" where the tyres would be, the answer is no; consider a different profile.
However; the VN Group As had some seriously huge rubber, and it would be worth finding out just how huge. |

Group A had 245's on 17's if I recall correctly so might get away with it! I think il buy them and then find out, can always sell the tires |

Any rims for the VE will need to be machined to fit any other Commodore. From memory about 2m needs to come off the inside so the hub will fit.
Havent done it myself but looked at some 16x7 VE stockies to replace my 15x7 ceptors, its around $40 per rim to get machined depending where you go but maybe cheaper if you look around. |
