hey again i just brought 2 blue led neon lights and brought a switch for it so i can turn it on n off. problem is i dont know how to make the switch work. the switch has 2 terminals i tried to wire the power wire the neon light on the sigerete lighter light cable with the switch i wired a wire from 1 terminal of the switch to the other than i got another wire wired it to on terminal and the other end to the power to the sigerete lighter then the other terminal to the switch i wired it up and the other end to the earth thought all was good turned the ignition on and blown a fuse so if any1 knows how i can wire a switch to a neon can u pls tell. thank u i hope u understandad wat i just wrote cos i kinda just confused myself. b4dn xxxx. p.s sorry bout not leaving any fullstops
no there going under the glove box n under the fusebox im not that of a show off tolet the whole world to c me from a mile away. having it hooked up for my eyes n enjoyment specialy wen im peakin. hehe
One way to do it is as follows - The best power to get will be from the positive terminal of the battery. Now under the bonnet about 100mm( doesn't have to be exact) from the battery end of the power wire that will be run to power the lights a fuse holder should be installed, on of the best types of fuse holders i have found are a waterproof blade type fuse holder which can be purchased from such stores as supercheap/autobarn. Now this should be soldered into the wire but crimp type automotive wire joiners will do the job which can also be purchased from the earlier mentioned stores. Do not install the fuse yet. Now run that wire through a suitable rubber grommet on the firewall of your car. Find a suitable mounting point for your switch. Now run the wire through the switch mounting hole. Now cut the wire so there is enough wire to comfortably attach it to the switch. Attach the wire to one side of the switch, by the sounds of it it is an on/off switch so it should not matter which terminal you attach the wire to. Now i take it that your neons are installed so run the positive wires from each of the neons( the red wire if not sure) back to the switch. Now attach them to the unused side of the switch and mount the switch into it's mounting hole. Now join both of the negative wires from the neons attach to the car body. Find a screw or nut already into the metal of the body. Now make sure that there is no paint between the wires and the body and attach. Now you can install your fuse, I would recommend about a 5 amp fuse this should be enough to run the 2 neons. Now time to test!

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.
thank you it worked but i used the acc wire from the cigg lighter since its wired up to the fuse already so if somthing happens it will blow the fuse in the compartment under the steering wheel. thanks again
