Hi all ... I need some instructions on how to remove the centre console on my '88 auto ... any help greatly appreciated.

lift off the t-bar cover, undo the screws in the bottom of the lift up section( screws are under the carpet in the bottom). at the front under the radio threr are 2 screws that have plastic stoppers on the end (used for adjustment) undo them to lower the t-bar end and slide out.
 

Save a dim sim fry tyres instead.

sorry dude i forgot to mention the shifter surround screws in the white bit under the shifter cover. and any time.
