Welcome to the site , Sounds like you have it sorted quite well and, only thing to check is the axle splines on the new parts as VN's have 28 teeth and some BW diffs have 25 (eg.Pintara/Skyline). after market one's go up to 32 and are rare , though need new axle's. I hear some people refer to a VN LSD diff housing being different and i cant say yes or no , i have owned cars with both and to me the housings look exactly same though its better for another member's opinion to confirm this. Cheers

The LSD in VN's is a duel cone type , the cones sit near the axle ends and lock up when slipping occurs. If the axle length is the same between both type's and the tailshaft is also the same then it's more than likely drop in and bolt up. I can say i would never attempt to do this with my limited exp. Though a suspension joint won't charge a lot of green. If done right you'll get plenty of mile's out of this setup and traction is much better if needed.

If you get the centre assembled with crown wheel and pinion it is as easy as sliding the axles out, unbolting and then bolting back in but if you are changing these components as well I would not recommend setting this up unless you have done it before.
Also I think you can pickup an lsd rebuild kit reasonably cheap as well which would be a good idea if you buy second hand or at least get it tightened up a little bit if second hand.
Cheers

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.
