I bought a vg ute and I needed to replace the three vapour hoses that had perished. I had the same problem with the vn exec while changing fuel pump. So I went to the wreckers where it is self serve and found the hoses on a ss which were in good condition after seeing about 10 other vn and vp which were ****e.
It must have been a common problem
I know it aint easy with the sedan and wagons to access it but those ppl out there to check theirs when changing fuel pumps or when working around the fuel tank.
also I had 1 hose which is about 50cm in length which looked ok but there was a crack from top to bottom so double check it ppls
