Posted - 25 Aug 2012 : 02:17:43 AM Mostly they use the coil or the tacho output from the DFI module (brown wire in the case of the VN) for a signal. As mechknight has suggested the monster tach's I have seen have a switch on the back. Some you have to take the rear housing off to get at the switch. Throw up some pics someone may have played with one before. Cheers |

Posted - 24 Aug 2012 : 4:52:36 PM Hate to ask the obvious question, but there are definitely no switches on the back of it? some tachos have a switch, to change the resistance level between a 4, 6 or V8 input. Some use the coil as the input. Some use the alternator. I'm speculating, because I've never installed an expensive tacho in a car before. |
