Did you use a cooling system flush like i think the one i used was bars cooling system flush?? An additive that is supposed to free up ****e in your system??

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.

decided to flush out my power steering fluid, after i finished i drove to the servo which is about a kay up the road, before i got there i lost all power assistance. got home and pulled it apart this morning and found that after i filled up the resivior with new fluid the old stuff in the rack got forced up into the pump and cloged it up stopping the circulation! costed me a new pump and i replaced the powersteering lines while i was at it. Pretty bad luck that happening eh?

Cheers,
Nodg.

Some more bad luck that i think only happens in north australia where its hotter, every now and then on a hot day the coolant would overheat for no apparent reason causing you to make a pit stop and buy some coolant and refill. before you comment, i keep all components in good order so its not because of a seized thermo or blocked system.

Cheers,
Nodg.

my cap is near new, but your right about the cap because the caps purpose is obviously to presurise the system, and thus making the boiling point of the coolant rise.

Has anyone here had anything to do with either dual or triple core aussie desert cooler radiators?

I'm thinking of getting one- they look sweet- when I go twin thermos and piss off the clutch fan.

not really needed for even a mildly worked v8, it would be easier to get the radiator and twin thermo parts off a new v8, the radiator if the same dimensions will fit straight in and isnt that hard to mount properly (i dont think the newer models have the same clip in type that the earlier models had) the thermo shroud will simply screww staright on without too much fiddling.

Nodg.

It's not so much to fit the twin thrermos... the AU ones will fit up to the stock radiator relatively easily.

I guess its just the **** factor- they look so cool and they aren't too expensive really about $500 rings a bell. I'll just justify it to the wife as never being able to have too much cooling potential ;)

lol, na, im gonna stay with the 6. Just dreaming man.....everyone has a wish list on what they could do to their cars.
Everyone also has the same reason why they don't, lack of cash :D
Oh well.

On the up side, my extractors are now installed! Car sounds sweet (even though my exhaust is the same size) and goes suprisingly quicker.
Wanting to sell 1 2.5" exhaust, mint condition! lol.

Less than $400 for the radiator and they look horn... It'll be happening but I'll do the suspension and paint first. Next year will be cooling, ignition and fuel system.

suspension(shocks and springs) ignition(msd coil and advance) fuel(bigger injectors) will be quite cheap and would be much better and at kleast noticeable unlike the radiator

Cheers,
Nodg.

I'm happy with my stok vn ,, my car is the most ugliest thing on 4 wheels , its 3 different coulors , the interior is sh1t house and there are no mods on it! But at the end of the day I would be happy drivin it with a flash radiator or a nice big pod or even a small charger , but she has nothing and thats just the way I like her! All these things are material to me , Good ol vn!!!!!!!!

lol, the extractors was a headf*ck to put on, had to disconnect the steering, and remove half the cooling system to get the drivers side in......series 2 would have been ****loads easier, but series 1 is a lot more annoying.
But end result definetely worth it, sounds sweet, goes better too.

lol, sup guys? not lookin forward to extractors any more? lmao, they are worth it for sure, even in a S1 I would do it any day.

BTW, if you do get them, make sure you get the gaskets as well, cause not all extractors come with them, but they are a nesessity to help seal them. That and silicone :P
