A sad day it was yesterday as i took the last ride i would ever take on the old TLR. Poor old girl gave up the ghost!! I was riding along at a rather brisk pace (wont mention how fast) doing about 7000 rpm when.....BANG!! First thought damn blew a tyre, then oh crap i cant stop!!
When i finally came to screeching stop i look behind and my heart dropped........100 meter's of oil, coolent and rubber. A few choice words were followed by my helmet ending up in the paddock across the road(now when you throw a $1000 helmet something is afoot). While i sit there waiting for a trailer watching the rest of the oil and coolent spew forth from somewhere behind the fairings i say a quiet prayer for the old girl.
I get her home and strip the fairings off to find not one but both of the conrods protruding from their corresponding cylinder barrels. This is about the time I spat my pills and started getting nasty with anything I could find........

Good news is they told me I could get $5000-$6000 trade on the old girl and am going to pick up a brand new 2007 model Suzuki GSX1300R (or hayabusa as some may know them as) on saturday

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.

if the conrod was stuffed then it wouldnt run, its most likely a gudgeon pin or bearings.

Cheers,
Nodg.
