Hi All,
I have signed up as yesterday afternoon i bought my first VN for the grand total of $300. It is running and doesnt sound too bad but that is all i know, when the guy turned the key and it started i told him i would take it.
Before this i owned (what i thought was a sweet) bluebird wagon with a bodykit and stereo etc but no go fast bits. So i am trying to get this car registered and on the road for cheap (i think <$1000 will do it) SO i am especially interested in any DIY mods i can do to improve drivability, power and reliability.
All ideas and suggestions would be great, hopefully my stay here at VNCommodore will be a productive one and i look forward to giving out any help i can.

Welcome!
I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest its a six judging by the $300 price tag. I don't think you could have come to a better place for adivce on getting the most out of V6!
Have a seach around the forum for a lot of simple mods to sweeten it up and don't be afraid to ask any questions- the guys here are only too happy to help.
If possible, how about posting some pics! |

service it make sure tires are road worthy make sure the seats don't wobble you might have to tighten the hand brake check all your lights check your brakes , check for leaks .when you go to get your car RWC clean your car inside and out and underneath clean engine bay to. don't do any muzza mods till its registered. |

| My VN Exec was Atlas Grey, before it was painted black.... Don't think i've ever seen any around though, guessing it was a rather rare colour, of wasn't around for long??? |

| SS were the only factory Holdens to have Atlas Grey as an option at the time... perhaps some later VNs had then as an option but it wasn't an early option as far as I am aware. |

| My Vn was Atlas Grey from the factory, i checked up the numbers with Holden. It was an '88 Executive. I didn't think it was done either, but the car was proof! |
