hey, im lookin to get my vn re-painted, i have no idea how much its gonna cost me and i havent looked into it yet. im thinkin a nice matalic black. has anyone got any ideas of how much it gonna set me back? i would be very greatfull for your help!

Hey mate i was thinkin the same thing but changed my mind as i got a qoute and they said 10k as all dents have to be removed

Yeah, going for black is going to cost a mint. Everything has to be perfectly smooth otherwise it's just going to look crap as soon as the light hits it.

Normally you can get a 'same colour' respray done really cheap (by comparison) if you do the prep work yourself (rip off everything, rub it back....). Moving to black (or any really dark colour) on any car is just asking for trouble. Even the tiniest dints (you probably don't even know about them yet) will look shocking.

for a quality job so it looks new in the same colour you have now would be around $4000 depending on your body condition

to change colours your looking at the $6000 mark

you can find places to do it cheaper but when it comes to paint you get what you pay for and a $2000 will look ****

i payed $4300 recently and it looks like new

I shopped around and was quoted from $1500 to $6000.
I've been thinking about what colour to go and went from black, to maybe that nice orange you see on later model commodores. I saw a VP painted the colour and It looked pretty nice.
