Hi All, I am trying to get my VN into shape for a roadworthy and i am a little bit stuck. The drivers side front and rear windows are both broken.
For the front drivers window the whole mechanism is still there but one of the runners from the bottom of the glass has fallen off.
For the rear window the glass is still in there but the mechanism is gone.
I have been to the wrecker and because of the huge pop rivets that Holden used, i am having trouble pulling the parts i need out of cars, i have come here to find out if there is an easy and cheap fix for these things. Does anyone know if you can buy these window mechanisms already pulled off a car in brisbane etc.
PS. I almost forgot, i am also in need of a phone number for a mobile roadworthy guy who is relatively cheap and who wont bring his fine toothed comb with him.

drill out the rivets, wind the window all the way down then the glass can come out, then take the regulator out..... the runners would be bent but you can restraighten then and reconnect the window back up no worries, Nodg |
