Hi everyone, glad to have found this forum. I have a S1 VN V6 auto that has been converted to LPG recently. LPG works well but running fuel is a bit strange.
Basically, whenever I tromp the pedal (eg pedal to metal), the car boggs down. It does this from standstill or from any speed below 80km/h. You can feel it opening up slowly until it hits 80, then it accelerates normally.
Does anyone know why this is happening?? I dont think its the trans or kick down cable as it works well when running LPG. Maybe its a fuel issue.
The only other piece of info I can tell you is that I havent always kept 1/4 tank of fuel in the car. In fact I have driven it for a while below the 1/4 mark (stupid).
So if anyone had the same problem or has any solutions, they will be a great help! Cheers

hi nodg, thanks for the reply, yeah i run it on fuel for 30min a fortnight mainly on highways when i go long distance, I just filled up with fuel and changed the fuel filter but it still happens.
The engine light comes on every now and then, I did a test and it showed code 13 so ive just bought a new oxygen filter and waiting for the exhaust to cool down as we speak.
The LPG was installed professionaly with the whole rebate thing so I would assume it was tuned well, and LPG system has a little computer of its own.
Will install the O2 sensor a bit later and c if its helped at all. Do you reckon the sensor could have anything to do with it?
cheers for you help

yeah, she's all good now....i hope. Also replaced thermostat (mine stayed open) and hose, that was a job and a half, now i get a proper temp reading.
I filled it up with coolant but I was wondering if anyone knows how to drain the whole system properly and fill it up without making air pockets?
Cheers for your help again |

| there is a screw ontop of the water pump that you need to take out, once you start to pour water/coolant in and the water comes out of that hole then you can put it back in and tighten it. that is (so i am told) the proper way to make sure you have no air trapped in your cooling system. |
