Hi guys, me again, turns out it wasn't a battery problem after all, I don't know what it is, I can't see my mechanic till monday.

When I start the car is sounds fine but it misses, when i'm travelling on the freeway it wants to stall but doesn't so when i pull over and turn it off, I turn it back on again and it's fine for a while, I don't think my injectors are clogged because I always use 98 octane petrol, and also if it was fuel wouldn't it do it all the time, it's sounds a bit rough when idling at the traffic lights, could it be my spark leads, every time i take a lead off the coil pack the coil spark is a black colour, what else does it sound like?
i love my car so much but everytime i get something fixed something else pops up.

have a look behind you t/b and c if the little black hose is connected to your map sensor properly, it may have perished a bit , this can cause back firing and stalling!

When you say it feels like it wants to stall on the freeway- what exactly do you mean? Have you got a tacho? Does it jump around at all when it misses?

I know what you mean about it being an ongoing thing repairing these cars... it's half the fun!

Sorry I don't have a tacho, the only way i can describe it is you know when you are really low on fuel and you turn a sharp corner and the petrol doesn't quite reach the engine, that's what it feels like all the time but as i said if i pull over and switch off, sometimes it comes right again, when i said misfire i didn't mean backfire, it's never done that although the other morning starting on the first go it stopped and made a pffffft sound, then i waited and then it was right

have u ever checked ur leads are on in the correct order? iv seen some ppl driving around with them all mixed up.. sure u would no tho. Sounds to me like its ur comp because probs dont just solve themselves with the turning on and off of a key unless it electirc related. Just a test.. start ur car and take off the oil cap and see if u can feel air coming out

Boost me, and double clutch me so i can get my. Loss of Traction!

I really want to suggest the ignition module... but I seem to keep saying it to everyone.

All I know is that just before mine died good and proper, it did a very similar thing- missing, felt like fuel surge especially after acceleration and coming back to cruise. The reason I asked about the tacho was because when mine did it (missed) the tacho went spastic.

have you got a s1 or s2? Cause the s1 coils are crap, at lease in the s2 if you drop a coil the other 5 will compensate!

Hi guys sorry it's taken so long to respond haven't had the net for a while,
Turns out it was the spark leads, well one spark lead wasn't firing properly, went to my mechanic took him nearly all day to find the problem, he thought it was a fuel problem cause it was shuddering and stalling, but he scanned the computer and it gave a code 12 so you could only tell on idle that it was missing, so i'm glad i got that out of the way, also some transmission fluid was leaking out the front too but since i tightened up the pipe from the radiator all is well, also too the new leads he gave me for my s1 coil pack look like they don't fit properly like they're not long enough, might have to get a s2 coil pack.
