jack up the car, remove the front wheels, now look at the brake caliper and you will see a 'nipple' with a nut on the end, get the appropriate spanner (think its 12mm), now get a short lenghth of hose and a beaker of some sort. fill the beaker with brake fluid and stick one end of the hose into it, now get the other end and push it snug over the nipple, undo the nipple with the 12mm spanner. now hop in the car and pump the brake pedal SLOWLY, look at the beaker afterpumping the pedal for a minute or so and confirm theres no air being sucked back into the system, do up the nipple firmly and repeat the other side of the car. repeat the above by jacking up the back end and doing the rears.
if you got someone to help you its easier, just hop in the car, push the brake pedal down and get your mate to undo the nipple, then retighten it and repeat until theres only fluid escaping. |

Nodg- does that method replace the need for one of those tools you can get to make bleeding it a one man job?
Anyone know what they are worth? Pretty sure its only a couple of bucks? Could be a worthwhile thing to have. |

yeah thats the 1 man way job and alot cheaper than the proper tool. both use the same method in filtering the air out of the system, naturally when you push the pedal any air will get pushed to the end of the brake system, and when you push the pedal down to bleed them most of the air comes out in 1 pump, then when the pedal is released its only got fluid to suck in instead of air.
I also forgot to mention when bleeding the brakes keep an eye on the master cylinder level and top up as required. |

| Thanks to everyone who replied, NODQ the trick worked like a charm, asked my brother to give me a hand which made the job even easier, thanks once again, and yea for everyone else who is thiking to change their brake oil themselves, its not that had when you got the right tools(spanner think its 12mm). |
