just a quick one does anyone kno wthe exact name or type for each coloured wire in the car audio for a vn 1991 model. i know power is orange and white, earth is black and white and the speaker wires are usually grey, green and white but what are the others. any help be great

Orange = constant 12V
yellow = accesories
Black = earth
Brown/white = illumination
Yellow/Red = elec aerial
Dark Green(-) & Light Green(+) = front right
Tan(+) & Grey(-) = front left
Dark/Black(-) & Blue Red(+) = rear right
Brown/Black(+) & Yellow/Blue(-) = rear left

If all else fails, get a walkman or an MP3 player with a 3.5mm male to male extension lead and just test the wires onto that. Just listen to which speaker is playing the music. How I did mine.
