Basically it is as above...
when the revs drop, my converter seems to lock in with a clunky sorta sound... i dunno how to descibe it more... although... it seems to be a bit of a flat spot as well... like i can put the foot down a bit from 90 and it doesnt have alot of effect until it reaches 100-105... then BAM... races away like all good VN's do |

| the torque converters in this series have a tendancy to do this, half the time its a case of a mis-aligned kick back cable, but mainly means a new converter. if you leave the lever in third gear, do you get a slight vibration under load? |

It shouldnt be moving coz the rubber surround on it is still like new...
I actually checked last week, coz i was goin to check out the bearing like you said... a mate told me the rubber usually goes on VN's and not the bearing in the tailshaft... coz i have that rumbling noise.
Anyways... i will definitely check it out again though... thanks for your time with this nodg, it muchly appreciated |
