| if the panels are staright, the paint isnt cracked, faded or peeling, the motor starts and runs fine, drives smoothly, expect 2-3000 dollars, even with subs/amp/mags/exhaust/etc doesnt add any value through a car dealer but private you should scouge some extra bucks up |

| It's pretty much impossible to say without seeing it in the flesh but some pics and a bit of a story about it would help. |

| I'm in perth m8 and trust me there are some dreamers over here! And yeah a good running but shabby lookin vn would go for 1-2k easy! But there are some vns around that are advertised for some ridiculous amounts! Mind you they look and sound the ducks nuts, but as you said above, is you take it a car dealer expect sweet furk all for it what ever condition v6 or v8! |

I paid $5000 for mine 3 years ago...
Its nice... little ding in the rear passenger door, but thats about it... 12 months ago i was offered 7K for it in the street!
And that was before i had anything done to it, so there are people out there who want one thats neat and tidy... not necessarily packed full of goodies... i chose mine coz i could put my touch to it... reality is anyone who buys it will probably rip out your stereo and put theirs in... change the rims... maybe paint it or even whack in another engine so... yeah
Pics would help... but for a relatively good looker, lowish Km's and good runner... 3-5000
Good luck |

| 3 grand with a roadworthy certificate would be about right, but i couldnt see the pics? basically if its a good clean example of a vn v6 it will still pull around 3 grand, but prices are rapidly dropping... |

****- in SA I have seen good 355 VN Calais going for $6-$7k. Stroked SS are around the same.
Guess this is the place to buy if you are buying. I've seen a lot of sixes around the $1500 which were in rough to reasonable condition. You can get dungers for well under that- as low as a carton.
With photos it would be a help but your best bet would be to pick the trading post up and check out the competition and then price accordingly. |

| The guy that I bought my VN Calais off 3 years ago, wanted $16,000 to start with. He then dropped the price to $14 when it didnt sell. and dropped it further to 8 he then offered it to my wife for $6000 who managed to beat him down to $3000. There is a guy a few doors up from me has a VN exec. He has $1600 on it. His price isnt as ambitious as the other guys but he knows that if some one gives him 1600 for it fine but he has also included an amount that he is willing to knock off his price. |

| i bought mine for $3900 and it was completely stock, but in really good condition, paint work, panels, interior and engine. i suppose that was from a dealer though so the price was probably a little bumped up... |

I got mine through private sale. missed out on registration and little did I know it had a defective notice on it. found out when my father inlaw tried to renew the rego and he also fund out I had been followed 3 times by the police. something thats alittle hard to miss when one of victorias finest is sitting 1 meter from your rear bumper

I brought my VP for $5100 a few years back and in September 2007 I sold it for $2500.00, the bloke who brought it spent $340.00 to have the road worthy and the repairs it needed and that was like this:
