Hi yall, I'm hoping someone might be able to advise me of what is the best steering lock device on the market.
I have an 89 VN and have been very lucky the two times someone has attempted to steal it. First time, the guy passed out in the car and the police arrested him, but the second time "they" were disturbed and didn't get a chance to break the steering lock and drive off.

I've been told by the insurance company about an Unger Lock Pro but can't seem to find it online or at the usual stores...eg Repco, Autobarn etc

I live in Brisbane and would appreciate any and all advice.
Cheers

Have a search for something called a full metal jacket. It is a metal jacket that fits over your ignition barrel and wiring.

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.

I've got a metal jacket over my ignition, its saved my car about 3 times. Although it is a real bitch when you get back to your car and find the window and plastic around the steering column and cd player broken. Sometimes i'd wished they stolen the car, with all the money i've had to spend on repairing it.

I think NRMA also give about $80 off insurance each year if you have one installed.

I now also have a pro-lock on my wheel, at least they can see that and hopefully wont bother to break in.

Thanks for the welcome Jas89 - baseball bat is the weapon of choice for home invasion, can't really help in this instance

Thanks VNsvle & Madness for the advice regarding the full metal jacket, I'm going to check it out.

I'm interested in the steering lock device as a highly visable deterant. My car isn't the beautiful creature she once was, so I'm hoping the joy riders are going decide it's just too hard.

Cheers
