I have similar intermittent fault with VN V8. Check crank angle sensor in dizzy, faulty hall effect transistor in dizzy prevents computer from issuing injection pulses. Fault code 41 appears on the engine management system.
Can anyone advise if it is possible to change V8 dizzy in car. Looks pretty tight fit. |

Power to the coil but no spark at any spark plugs/leads? and no injector pulse? i would look at trying a donor ecu for a possible fault with your current ecu, was the car running fine beforehand? If it was simply a spark problem on its own, or a injector pulse problem on its own it would leads to other areas but both not working at the same time? sounds a bit odd too me to be a simple electronic fault that controls spark. |

it is but quite possible once you remove the engine covers that cover the fuel rails, then pull back the fuel hoses. You will then find it alot easier to buy a proper dissy spanner, or bend on of your own its 13mm by memory. The problem you will have though is hat after yars the dissy can become stuck and may require a bit of levering to release it from it home...
The first time you do it it will seem hard, but from then afterwards it will get easier and easier, i can change my leads and dissy cap in 20 minutes flat from start to finish without exaturation. |
