gday guys i have smashed my clutch, it had held up well of abuse over 5 yrs and had karked it. Im shopping for a new clutch, the previous clutch was an Exedy Extra heavu duty clutch that was designed for the vs gts. It felt nic, never slipped but was very juttery etc, I dont care about the heavyness of the clutch, or the drivablitly in traffic, as the car will be turned into a hill climb car soon. got any ideas of what clutch and where i could get it form? thanks guys dave

| a v6 or v8 will always be youchy on the accelerator you just need to learn how to feather it so you get smooth drive, i would reccomend exedy heavy duty ive always put them in customers cars and never got a complain from them |

| i put a exedy heavy duty in and destroyed it after 2 months of agresive driving. put a CI PERFORMANCE ceramic button clutch (not a on off clutch) and it has been a dream full car load rev dump stand stills no problem. but one thing i did, blew 2nd gear on the weekend was in first gear on the rev limiter around a round about, while exiting i slamed it into 2nd and dumped the clutch and 2nd gear exploded (quite fun)and put a 2nd hand gear box in on the following day. one big differance i noticed is in gear changes the car jumps foward alot more for every gear change. |

| If you go with the button clutch make sure you get one with a sprung center |
What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared. |

Hey guys, Sourced out my new clutch and have it in my car. I AM STOKED! Its and RPM upgrade from Clutch Industries. 5 Puck sprung centre button clutch. I love it. Of course stalled the hell out of it the first couple of days and it is very very very annoying when it is pissing down rain and i have to hill start next to a police officer. HAHA But out of all of it i am very happy with this clutch, didnt cost me a pretty penny either at $450 for the whole kit. Thanks for your help guys. Hopefully this thread will help anty other guys that had the same dilema i did :D dave |
