im only starting out here and dont know much about engines... but say i wanted to get a diffrent engine after a while. someone recently mentioned a supercharged ecotec combo... i could sell my buick v6 and scrape up more cash. i was wondering how much would the thing cost and how much is it to get it put in (roughly)? and also what complications would i find on the way? what other things would i have to replace if i get that new engine... also do you think its worth changing the engine or just gettin a diffrent model and working on it.. the vn is pretty wide...
unless your vn is the bloody bees knees its not really worth it. unless your doing it yourself as a projet your up for big bucks for the transfer. full wiring loom and splicing to your old dash will take an auto elect many hours and they arnt cheap.. work on VS upwards if your thinking this way. it will be so much cheaper and you have the option of abs.
go to come racing and buy a 4.2 litre v6 setup to suit super charger i think there around 10 grand but you will have back breaking power when you bolt on a supercharger witch is almost or is better than sex. big power is such a fcuken rush
there is just so so many choices you have to do with your engine and it's all about money.
rebuilt V6 with crow cams $3700 +40kw Turbo $4500 with twin throttle body manifolds +$1000 High ratio performance roller rockers $? A rebuilt VN V8 - maybe $1000 the list goes on till i warm out my keyboard,
But the cheapest engine mod i seen done to a VS Statesman was Normal ECOTEC been supercharged $2000
you could do this to your motor which has a better torque and power curve then an ECOTEC.
I'll show you the Rick James cell. It's superfreaky!.
