Hi guys and girls, I have been looking for a set of clear headlights for a VN. They make alteza tail lights for the VN, but to my knowledge, they dont make them as a set of headlights. VR's and VS's, not a problem, you can get what you want. But the VN! No, we only make tail lghts

The indicators are white light which i am fine with. It is the actual glass that i want clear. New model cars have clear glass for headlights, where as older cars prodominatley have a blurry off white lense that the light sits behind. You have alteza tail lights on your VN leebo. They arent coloured. They make clear glass headlights for VR's and VS's. They can be found on ebay, and will give you an idea of what i am talking about buddy. Do you have any suggestions Trizo? |

My headlights are the same as yours leebo. The VN headlights dont have a clear glass lense. I prefer the clear glass look as it looks cleaner, and the thing that is frustrating is that you can get them for a VR and VS, but not a VN.

id say the indie of you headlight lens is dirty as the headlight lens is indeed clear. unless u want just plain clear lioght as in not lines in the lens? if so then the light itself will not perform as good as the lines in the lens is part of the way it projects the light (as well as the reflector) |

When they came out new they were clear, mine are clear as you can see the silver backing of the headlight no worries through the glass... sounds like you need your lenses polished theres mobs around that do that for a living. |
Cheers, Nodg. |

Yeah, they have a yellow tinge to them. The indicator part is fine, but the headlights have a slight discolouring to the glass. Must be the inside of the glass, as I have polshed the outside. I really appreciate all your help guys, the way you all are willing to give your knowledge is trully inspiring. |

providing that the reflector is in ok condition you can tak te lights out and unclip the clips that hold the lens on. be careful that you do not damage the glass. There is a rubber seal so the lens should just basically pop off after all clips are off. don't use any cleaning chemicals or even water on the reflector as it will damage it , i guess u could wipe it over with a dry cloth. As for the lens they (over time) get a layer of grime etc...on the inside that can be easily cleaned with glass cleaner. after cleaned the lens put all back together. will look heaps better and head light will shine a hell of allot better. I have dont thins on 3 vn/p commodores and they look like new lights. there not glued/silicone sealed theirs just a rubber seal thast reusable so its pretty easy
have fun as once its done it will look ****loads better |
