They're legit. All they are are 10MM oversized.
As I've said before, your motor won't be sucking enough air to require that. (Plus, the elbow would be limiting since it's only 67MM) |

| Well you will get the increase, but with that you'll also get a much more touchy throttle. |

Hey guys I'm having trouble here. i pulled apart the head to find that bras belmouth thing I've seen people talking about and couldn't find it.
I'm guessing the last owner must have already removed it because i stuck my hand down there and couldn't find nothing.
Also my throttle body is 65mm is that normal? |

| Hey leebo, yeah mate it must have already been removed, as it stands out really easy, and i think 65mm is the standard for the v8 and 60mm for the v6, but am not totally sure. |

That's good i suppose i was really considering the 70mm one but i don't think the extra 5mm will make much difference.
not too much point spending the $250 to get a maybe you will get some performance, it's already done enough.
But i done broke my gasket so i will have to get a new one off dad lol. |

60mm is the v6 throttle, 65mm is the v8 throttle and the 70mm off ebay woyuld be a v8 throttle bored to 70mm. There really is not much point of going to a 70mm throttle from a 65mm unless it is turboed or have an aftermarket cam setup etc. On that ebay page they say 30%more airflow, this is not correct. As most car entusiates would know that airflow when measured when not assembled will give a different reading as with being assembled. Along with everything from exhaust ports etc. WHEN the throttle is off the car this may be correct, but due to 67mm elbow and shape of the elbow this is deffinatly not correct. |

i was told that putting the V8 throttle body one will bring on the CEL as the computer doesn't know why more air is coming in that it didn't let in due to the extra size.
fact or myth? |

well working at the commodore shop and i see loads of v6's come in with v8 throttles and no problems, i personally had no problems when putting he v8 throttle on. Not much noticable difference obviously but more response and with a manual its exactly what you want hahaha i think that one might be a myth but if you go too big then you definatly run into dramas, i havnt seen any N/A's witht he 70mm throttle so cant say anything on that one.

| The bigger throttle bodies cause issues with auto shift points but apart from that an allright mod they can do with a tune with a little more fuel at WOT too helps them work to there full potential same with extractors and upgraded exhaust good gains from a tune afterwards |
