Hey guys, one of the mates just got him self a 1990 model commodore ute (vg...vp?), and is doing it up as a bit of a show ute, but still wants to pull his drag car behind it. so now the question, if he turbo's the ute with a t3/t4 size turbo, will it pull alright with a load behind it, or will it lack torque, or be to aggressive if you now what i mean? or should he just go with a cam? any info would be great....

A cam or a supercharger would be beter for towing i only know this because if you have alot of weight on the back and you come to a hill an you don't have it on boost it will be a slug where as the supercharger or cams are creating extra power which is avalable all the time.

This will be a more smooth option in my opionion.

I'll show you the Rick James cell. It's superfreaky!.

A cam WILL be the superior choice. No doubt about it.

If the ute is only gonna be for towing and low speed stuff (No racing) then the cam is best.

Get a low RPM range cam in it. That makes all it's power under say 3,500RPM, and it'll tow a mountain.
