Hi My blue vn has a good light blue mettalic paintjob exept the passenger side isn't as shiny as the rest (looks acrylic), what cost would i be lookin at to get the one side resprayed??? i'm in perth.

depending on how old the rest of the paint is you might want to consider a complete respray as it might make the rest of the paint look dull. if the rest of the paint is pretty new then the best thing you can do is to ring around and get qoutes also try and talk them down a bit by asking them if thats the best price they can do, also ask them what they will need to do to the car before they paint it to see if there is anything you can do yourself, it will save you some money if you can. i just rang a few places where i live to get qoutes done for a full respray on my car and one place wanted 12,000. so dont be shocked if some people give you a price like that because being a vn they all expect it to the original paint so try and give them as much detail about the paint as you can. |

12,000 Bloody hell i got my VN repainted for $6000 That was for panel and paint in 2 pac 4 coats of color 8 coats of clear. Your getting ripp Have you tryed a cut and polish the paint might be oxidised. |

Dude i think you got ripped at 6000 the best thing to do is go out of your way to make friends with a spray painter. |

paiting half of the car then feathering/color matching the paint wont be much more cheaper than spraying the whole car, a good workshop will charge an average of 6 grand to go over the whole car and be able to provide a 10 year warranty (at least) you can go to dodgier places and pay less but it wont be the same, yuou get what you pay for! |

have to agree with lovemyvp try and make good with a spray painter mate and a good mechanic if ya haven't already thats what i intend to do is get a good friend of mine to do the painting for me good luck with it all mate ;) |

love me comms look in the how to section (whihc is a bit messed up now you have to click archives to see most of them) and see how EASY it is to do yourself if you have some spare time, patience and common sense! |
