Hey guys,
Its come down to my car is becoming way to rattly. Doors ratle, boot ratles. The expense spent of my audio system is being takien away by these ratles. Ive looked into all the sound deadeners and have decided of dynamat xtreme, proven it works, the original although the most expensive.
I have also decided on buying spray on deadener and laying the whole underside of the car then using dynamat Xtreme on the inside.
Ive looked into all sizes etc and have had a chat to a few local car audio places and they reckon about 2 grand for the whole inside done, fit and supply which doesnt suprise as is a massive job. BUT i have found a bulk pack of dynamat Xtreme on ebay for $245 delivered which will cover 36sq ft of the vehicle.
SO what im really asking is has anyone done this to there car and how much will i need? I'm hoping to deaden boot, floor, doors, number plates, firewall.
Dont worry about money side i just need some opinions
Thanks guys

why dont you just go down to holden or a spare parts place and order in some brand new rubber seals for your doors and boot, sounds alot cheaper than 2 grand, and wont add an extra 15 - 20 kg's of unwanted weight.

a vn from the factory doesnt rattle lol, usually its the door rubbers either falling off, deteriorating or dried out that causes the rattles... also everything tends to loosen up it might pay to go over the car and tighten everything up making sure you dont over tighten the screws that hold on plastic trims...

Cheers,
Nodg.

And remember to put some kind of "thread locker" on the bits that have rattled loose. If you're going extreme on audio, these same screws are likely to slowly rattle loose again over time
