My indicators like to stay on when I use the immobiliser in my vn sedan. The central locking & the actual immobiliser functions work fine, it's just that one or both of the indicators like to stay on. It makes no difference wether I am turning the immobiliser on or off. Sometimes the lights stay off when they are supposed to, sometimes I have to push the remote button a million times to get the indicators to stay off. It used to be fine until about a week after I bought new remotes for it & it seems to be getting worse. Anyone know what might be causing the problem & how I might fix it? Failing that does anyone know how I can bypass/remove the immobiliser altogether so I can just use the key to unlock & start? I've heard about a PIN number to bypass but I don't have it.I can't afford a replacement for a few weeks & need the vehicle.

If the immobiliser and central locking functions are working fine you should be able to remove the indicator flash funtion. Is it a factory immobiliser??

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared. |

Yes, I believe it's factory job. I got the car second hand though & I wouldn't know one immobiliser from the next, (auto elecs not my strong suit), so I can't be certain. I was going to just replace the lot a few months ago but the bloke that came to do it reckoned the immobiliser was fine & just the remotes needed replacing. A week later it started the indicator game. |

Thats why i reread his first post lol never head of a vn with flashers, it was the vp's that first got that option.
Anyway mate get back to us, or even post a pic of the setup you have (under bonnet and under dash/steering wheel) MAY be able to help you but not the absolute best in that department.... |

I can remember that not long after the VP was released, Holden offered a factory upgrade to the VP system on VNs. Have not experienced a factory one of these, but do know they exist |
